Govt. Higher Secondary School Qaimoh proudly hosted its Alumni Reunion on 30th September 2025, which witnessed a heartwarming gathering of former students filled with excitement, joy, and nostalgia.

The event turned out to be a truly colourful and memorable celebration. Among others, the guests included Mr. Abdul Gaffar Sofi, former Cabinet Minister, J&K, (Health & Medical Education), former M.L.A, Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar, Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry, Dr. Mohd. Amin, former ZEO, Mr. Ata Mohd. Khan, former Deputy Registrar, J&K High Court, Mr. Abdul Salam Dar.

The programme began with the welcome address by the principal, Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, who formally inaugurated the reunion and set the tone for the day. This was followed by emotional and powerful speeches from distinguished alumni and guests, who fondly recalled their cherished moments spent at the school and shared inspiring experiences from their journeys ahead.
To add vibrancy to the occasion, the students of GHSS Qaimoh, along with participants from other schools - Middle School Wanigund, Middle School Redwani Bala, G. Q. Public School Qaimoh, Shemford Futuristic School Wanpoh, presented a series of cultural performances that captivated the audience with their colour, music, and youthful spirit.

The school also took the opportunity to felicitate the top performers of the previous year’s board examinations and sports achievers, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

A special honour was conferred upon Mr. Abdul Aziz Bhat, the very first student of the school (admitted in 1960), which added a historic touch to the event. Furthermore, some alumni were remembered and honoured posthumously, making the gathering even more heartfelt and meaningful.

The gesture deeply moved the alumni community, with many expressing gratitude to the school administration for acknowledging and remembering them in such a warm manner.
The event was ably co-anchored by Saniya Sajad (a student of G.Q. Public School, Qaimoh) and Hamsa Ayoub (a student of Govt. GHS Qaimoh), while Dr. Sartaj, the Event Coordinator, and Mr. Fayaz Ahmad, the Assistant Coordinator, guided and supervised the entire programme, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.

The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks presented by Mr. Firdous Ahmad, a faculty member, who extended appreciation to all the guests, alumni, participants, for making the day a memorable one. The principal, Dr. Sajad, joined him to show gratitude to all the staff members of HSS Qaimoh whose silent dedication turned the Alumni Reunion 2025 into a living success.
The Alumni Reunion 2025 not only rekindled old memories but also strengthened the bond between the alumni and their alma mater, marking it as a day of pride, joy, and togetherness.
