🏏 Nuur Ud Din (RA) Drug De-Addiction Cricket Trophy – Grand Finale

The lush green grounds of Government Higher Secondary School Qaimoh came alive as the much-anticipated Nuur Ud Din (RA) Drug De-Addiction Cricket Trophy Final unfolded in a spectacular display of sporting spirit and community solidarity against drug abuse.
The final showdown featured two formidable teams from the institution — Team Adnan and Team Hamid. In a thrilling contest, Team Adnan emerged victorious, defeating Team Hamid by 3 wickets. The audience erupted in cheers as boundaries were struck and wickets tumbled, making it a nail-biting finish.
The match drew a huge crowd of enthusiastic students, faculty, and community members. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Mrs. Rumy Jan (DDC Member), the District Social Welfare Officer, several district- and tehsil-level officers, and members of the School Management & Development Committee (SMDC).
Hamid Muzaffar was named Man of the Series for his exceptional all-round performance. The finale sent a powerful message as part of the school’s campaign against drug abuse — blending sportsmanship with social responsibility.

🎨 Paigam Mela – Celebrating 5 Years of NEP 2020
Date: 29 July 2025
The school campus transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and learning during the Paigam Mela, held to mark the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students showcased their talents in painting, sketching, handicrafts, model making, speeches, and debates — exemplifying the NEP’s focus on holistic and skill-oriented education.

📊 Workshop on Holistic Progress Card
Date: 5 August 2025
Government Higher Secondary School Qaimoh organised a Workshop on the Holistic Progress Card (HPC). Cluster schools participated, with each school assigned one class to implement the HPC on a pilot basis. The workshop focused on assessment beyond marks — covering cognitive skills, creativity, emotional well-being, and life skills — moving towards student-centric evaluation.

🤝 One Day with an Officer – Administrative Exposure Programme
Date: 2 August 2025
As part of a real-world learning experience, selected students spent a day with Tehsildar Kulgam, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Wani (JKAS), observing administration and citizen service delivery. The programme aimed to bridge classroom learning with grassroots administration and inspire civic engagement.

🎥 Best Video of the Day – Creative Media Challenge
The cluster launched the Best Video of the Day challenge: each school made a one-minute video on a given theme. This followed the Best Notebook of the Day initiative. Participating schools received Certificates of Appreciation, encouraging media literacy and creative expression among students.
